WCA 9 Programs

Sundays and Thursdays

Our Sunday and Thursday programming consists of special programs and recordings of local, religious services. Usually the services rotate on a weekly basis and our specials are updated as newer programming is submitted.

8:00 AM & 4:00 PM – Bethany Congregational Church – Recorded Service

9:00 AM & 5:00 PM – Community Baptist Church – Recorded Service

10:00 AM & 6:00 PM – Union Congregational Church – Recorded Service

11:00 AM & 7:00 PM – Defenders of the Christian Faith Church Boston – Recorded Service

11:00 PM – Shilling Shockers – (Not Produced at WCA) A scripted series that follows a group of monsters and witches who watch and commentate on early 20th century horror movies with the audience.

Mondays and Fridays

On Mondays and Fridays, we air programs that were produced by Weymouth citizens and organizations on a variety of topics! We also show recently-recorded, Weymouth High School Varsity Sports and sporting events involving Weymouth based teams over the summer!

8:00 AM & 4:00 PM – Weymouth of Faith – Local resident, Ronald Mayberry, tackles a number of social and community issues that are affecting our area. Tune as he and his guests shine a light on these topics and get the discussion going.

9:00 AM & 5:00 PM – Culture Chat – Host Matt D. discusses all things revolving around pop culture and public figures. Check out this great show to see what movies, actors, and topics make the grade for his top-ten style show. (Between Episodes – Not Currently Airing) Currently this slot is rotating episodes of past WCA-9 Shows!

9:30 AM and 5:30 PM – In the Saddle – Horse enthusiast, Dan Buttrick heads from the studio and into the field to educate his audience on everything and anything related to horses. (Between Episodes – Not Currently Airing) Currently this slot is rotating episodes of past WCA-9 Shows!

10:00 AM and 6:00 PM – Meeting House Forum – Brought to you by the John Birch Society, Meeting House Forum gives viewers the opportunity to hear the organization’s opinion on social and government issues.

11:00 AM and 6:00 PM – The Kings and Queens of Wrestling Chat – Starring Matt D., Matt R., Vania, Tony and your host, Jimmy, the members of this panel-based program attempt to predict the results of the next WWE event and discuss all things relevant to the world of professional wrestling.

11:30 AM and 7:30 PM – Sports Topix – Host Gregg Rubio interviews local sports figures and sometimes engages in athletic activities himself.

12:00 PM and 8:00 PM – Weymouth High School Varsity Sports

Tuesdays and Saturdays

Our Tuesday and Thursday shows also produced by WCA-9 members and cover a variety of topics including community, culture and religion. You can also catch more of your favorite, local athletic teams during our WHS Sports block!

8:30 AM and 4:30 PM – Phyllis – Over the past 30 years, Phyllis has interviewed hundreds of guests who come in to discuss the Weymouth community, senior living, fashion and much, much more.

9 AM and 5 PM – Witnessing the Word – This religion-based talk show is our second-longest running series at WCA. Over the past couple decades, this program has highlighted events and topics that are important to the Immaculate Conception and St. Jerome Church collaborative.

9:30 AM and 5:30 PM –  Let’s Talk – Show host, Abdul speaks with military veterans and others about supporting soldiers in the community and informs his viewers about the struggles veterans face in retirement.

10:00 AM and 6:00 PM – Community Access – Your host, Jamilah covers a variety of topics including community, pop culture, and religion either through studio interviews or by going to special events. (Between episodes – Not Currently Airing)

10:30 AM and 6:30 PM – The Music Show – Local musician Ron Anthony welcomes other performers into the studio for a few songs and has even been know to sing a few of his favorite songs himself!

11:00 AM and 7:00 PM – Weymouth Garden Club Show – The Weymouth Garden Club share gardening tips, cover their events and tell you about what they are doing in Weymouth.

11:30 AM and 7:30 PM – Weymouth Pride – Members of the Wildcat Media Club and other members of the community ask questions to special guests from Weymouth public schools. (Not Currently Airing)

12:00 PM and 8:00 PM – Weymouth High School Varsity Sports

Wednesdays

Every Wednesday we air shows from other community television stations!

8:00 AM and 4:00 PM – Sound Advice with Attorney Tom Williams – This Quincy-based program focuses on all topics revolved around law; focusing on current real estate issues.

8:30 AM and 4:30 PM – Life Matters – Life Matters is a weekly, educational right-to-life television program that has aired in the Boston area since October of 2003.

9:00 AM and 5:00 PM – Chefs’ Table – The hosts of this program demonstrate to their audience cooking styles from all over the world and feature restaurants from around New England.

10:00 AM and 6:00 PM – Melissa’s Menu – Host Melissa Greene shares recipes with her audience and shows how to make them at home!

10:30 AM and 6:30 PM – Physician’s Focus – Each episode of this program discusses an important, medical issue with Health Care Professionals. Previous episode topics have covered colorectal cancer, skin disorders and opioid abuse.

11:00 AM and 7:00 PM – Norfolk County DA Show – Norfolk County District Attorney Michael Morrissey talks about an array of issues that affect the citizens of Norfolk County.

11:30 AM and 7:30 PM – Wheels – The hosts go to automotive events and discuss cars and motorcycles to inform their passion with their viewers about the history of vehicles.
